I usually find that Simon views are fair and balanced to the point that he is prepared to criticise his own acts, something the other judges rarely do.
But why could he not hear the crapness that emitted from Ashley's gob tonight ? It was just awful and lifeless, he really killed that song. I didn't like his attitude and it bugged me how he 'thanked the Lord' after every performance.
Louis gave him a chance last week, and tonight he didn't deserve it and for once I agreed with his decision. I was thanking the Lord tonight.

Why?
she's just dreadful. she's so patronising and false and rubbish
I've previously defended her but she has no skills at creating anything that appears to be a natural flow to proceedings (and that's precisely what she's there for). Just watch as she slams a halt to anyone talking at the moment someone says "time up on this" in her ear.

indeed. I also thought that he was particularly petty thinking Louis was being bitter over simon's (rather unpleasant) comments earlier.

Liked Nikkita this week, Leona was never going to do as good as last week and i think eton road saved the show. Robert was also quite good. I find the props and guitar solo parts quite tacky when the macdonald bros perform, but they're not too bad overall.
Kate was great tonight as always, not sure about the hair. There was a cringeworthy moment when simon lost ashley and kate said is there anything you want to say to simon, she then moved on and said maybe not or something similar and simon gave her a 'you're gonna loose your job' look.

I can't understand the support for Eton Road personally, I think they're pretty dreadful, the gay-looking one in particular (his screeching at the end of the song last week was the most cringeworthy thing I've seen in a while).
Very glad that Ashley went tonight, he struck me as being a very arrogant and unpleasant young man. Robert, on the other hand, deserved to be saved, he strikes me as being very genuine and passionate about what he does. I like him, although I can't see him having much of a career from the show.
I'm finding it hard to predict who'll win. Personally I'd like Ben or Leona to win, they both have the best voices by far, although I can see Leona having the longest career off the back of this. She's a pretty safe bet, in that she has a powerful voice that's suited to a variety of styles, whereas Ben is a bit same-old after a while.
I think the last 3 will be Ray, Ben and Leona, Ben being the surprise 3rd place, and Leona being the overall winner. Can't stand Ray personally, but I can imagine him having a lot of support.

You mean apart from their 2 platinum albums (one of which triple platinum) and their third released later this month and a few nationwide tours. I'd say G4 are possibly the most succesful act to come out of the X-Factor and they didn't even win.
What exactly is your measure of success ?

I dont like Ben's style, i mean to me that sort of voice is not singing, its on the verge of screeching. Leona - i dont like her either, i cant understand the obsession with her.
I am glad Ashley went, another one with a wierd singing voice - not to my style. I do like Eton Road, id love them to win.
