i don't really understand why simon cowell likes ashley so much....his voice sounds really nasally. he should definitely go tonight.

to be honest this series of x factor hasn'y been very good - there isn't one act that i could pick out and say theyre going to win.

I thought Louis would at least use Ashley to ensure Simon wasn't smug at being the only judge to have all their acts in the competition!


A couple of quick points:

Firstly, the "no particular order" vote reveal almost ALWAYS begins with the saved act from last week (unless they were in the bottom two).

Secondly, the curse of being the first on hasn't come into affect yet this year - I think they've all sailed through the voting.


And finally, next week's theme is Abba - once again proof that the theming of the show does it absolutely no favours! "The X Factor" isn't someone who can be a jack of all trades, but someone who has a pretty unique style that can appeal to an audience beyond it!

what was the big twist that was supposed to happen?

Two acts were voted off.

What a surprise.

Forgot to ask the obvious question, but what does two acts leaving mean to the length of the series?


Will they cut one episode, have just two acts in the final (there were three last year) or find an excuse to bring one act back!

Well at least they can put the seat back in the bar.

Disappointed that Ashley isn't gone as he is sh*te.

Me too but he made the right decision for once.

After the story in The Sun the other day about Kate possibly being axed and replaced, her and Simon had a bit of a joke about it tonight.

Kate made a comment that she would come to the first of Louis acts shortly as he had only 2 left in the competition. Then with all the laughter Simon said "Kate are you still here?"m, and Kate said laughing "Just about".

From that it makes you think that what was reported in The Sun was rubbish as I think it would be a bit unfair for them to joke about her possibly losing her job live on air. Then on Xta Factor Results, Ben spoke to Kate and he then turned to the audience and said "dont we think shes a star?"

It seems that Kate has tons of support but must make her feel bad reading all that. I personally think Kate is The X Factor, its Like replacing Davina on Big Brother, it just wouldnt work.
