The thing is, how many programmes on ITV have failed in the past 18 months? Quite a few, and some have been pulled US-style from the schedules. Whereas the only BBC programme I can think of that recieved simular treatment recently was My Hero, for which the last few episodes of the recent (and probably last) series were shown on early afternoons on Sundays.
ITV are pinning their hopes on US imports like Six Degrees, except the problem is that show isn't doing well in the ratings over there and is unlikely to be picked up for the back nine. ITV know a winner when they see one
But you cant really blame ITV for pulling shows that get poor ratings. The advertisers wont be happy if the programmes dont perform well.
And just because Six Degrees hasnt been a hit in the US doesnt mean it wont be on ITV.

"Deperate ITV" - i guess you could say the same for the BBC when they dont have high rated shows.
For me ITV 1 is Saturday evening for me, although 2hr show is far too long.

Watch Ruby Wax on Sky One now and you'll appreciate Kate a little bit more.

The Sun is today reporting that Kate may be replaced next year. Apparently bosses are interested in getting Dermot O'Leary or Fearne Cotton aboard. Not sure about that.
Oh, and Simon Cowell was on GMTV this morning, and said something big will be happening this week, something the contestant's don't know about and that will shake some of them up. I'm sensing some sort of twist but I'm not sure.

The Sun today is reporting on what this big twist might be - they say that possibly 2 acts will be sent home in a double eviction, with the possibility of one previous act returning. Or that the guest judge will get to vote for which act to send home.

I agree. And if they, or any other act came back can you imagine the amount of complaints from viewers. It would be like Big Brother all over again when they put Nikki back in the house and said she could still win.

but they were abysmal, and should never have got in the final 12 above those twins in the first place.

Its not the same as BB i think as we didnt vote them out, the judges did - we save them.

True but we are still spending out money voting.
Yes, but for people we want to keep, rather than get rid. After the trouble Big Brother got into recently, I don't think they'd attempt to something like that without checking.
Then again, I bet Simon would love the publicity - good or bad.
