Looking forward to tonights show, favourite to go is the MacDonald Brothers I think.

Ideal scenario is Ashley and Dion in the bottom two - with Louis choosing average Ashley to go!

Nah I dont like it when Louis gets to choose who goes, much more fun when its Simon who votes out one of Louis acts. Sharon called Simon smug but he isnt half as annoying as when Louis is smug.

To be fair Ashley actually did a great job this week - first time he's matched what the judges say think of him!

This weekly theme thing though is just not working for The X Factor who's strength has always been the difference between the acts.

My views on the finalists:

Eton Road:
Good act, like them a lot. They're original and different, and can hold a song.

4Sure:
I couldn't be less interested in them. Boring as sh*t.

The McDonald Brothers:
Likewise. They were not only boring but abysmal tonight.

Ashley:
He's okay. I want him to stay because he is likeable in some ways, but in others I just don't care about him.

Nikitta:
I couldn't understand the fuss tonight and thought she showed she has a very powerful voice.

Ray:
Don't like him. He's got a very arrogant, over-confident side which irritates me.

Leona:
Great. Fantastic voice.

Kerry:
She's good, but not great. Won't go too far when the game starts to hot up.

Ben:
Can't understand the popularity. Not my cup of tea, I don't like his rasping voice.

Dionne:
She has a really good voice but she makes me feel a little uncomfortable watching her, really. I think it's the lack of confidence.

Robert:
Largely uninterested in this guy. He just seems to cry and annoy me, don't know if that's just me being mean.

Overall, my favourites: Eton Road, Leona and Nikitta.

Well it has to be the macDonald Brothers tonight. It was clearly the worst performance of the night.

The MacDonald Brothers were dreadful tonight so I think they should be one of the acts in the bottom 2. As for who should join them, well IMO it should either be 4sure or Ray because I felt they didnt put in all that great a performance either.

Is it just me or is the arguing between the judges getting worse this year. Simon I almost always agree with, but Louis and Sharon are always having a go at him when he gives his opinion on their acts. At least Simon has the guts to give an honest opinion and will slag off his own acts and even vote them off (like with the Coways last year).

As I said before this theming around a guest each week just doesn't work for The X Factor. It is too big a factor in deciding who goes each week.

It was hilarious though how most the acts intros began with something along the lines of "I wouldn't choose to do a Rod Stewart song".

As for Ray - what is he - 17 or 70? I can't ever see him having a pop career - he's more suited to the stage (or drowning school children).

Have to agree with you there - who decides which act gets which theme's songs too? I bet more than one act would have liked to perform 'Maggie May'. The odds are far higher for more than one act to be choosing the same songs this way and I do miss the variety that went with previous series.

I havent commented on X Factor as of yet ( i dont think), so ill add my thoughts...

Is the studio actually bigger, looking at it tonight its just the screens behind make it look bigger then it actually is?

Ashley - I dont like him, in my opinion his voice is not that great, i cant see where the attraction is with him.

Eton Road - I love them, great singers and put a smile on my face.

Dionne - Last weeks performance was brill, shouldnt have been in the bottom two last week, although still good this week didnt like the song.

- On that note, get rid of the popstars coming on each week, and having the themes, its holding back some of the contestants. The Macdonald Brothers - give them a Everly Brothers song, and they would bring the house down, and if you dont know who the Everly Brothers im ashamed Shocked Laughing

The groups always seem to be the weakest category as 2 groups went within the first 2 weeks last year. Maybe thats something they need to look at as the groups always seem to be the weak link in the programme.

I think maybe they need to try and get like a rock type of band, or something like that. Although Eton Road all the way!!
