Well, Iain Weaver on UKGameshows.com used the term when talking about the end of the Weakest Link - and again when talking about the end of the original Millionaire. Wink

Is "underperforming" a fair word?

For comparison...
BGT final - 4.7m
The Voice final - 5.2m
Eurovision final - 6.9m
Strictly 2017 final - 11.6m

That’s not the figure for BGT, I presume you mean X Factor.

Saturdays show is being pre-recorded so Robbie can take part before flying out later at night. On Sunday he'll be replaced by Nile Rodgers. He is also due to miss the next two weekends shows.

It's just like a use-by date for a food product. Wink

And just as many food products are still safe to consume a few days beyond their use-by dates, a TV show can still be generally taken fairly seriously a year or two beyond its ask-by date.

XF's ask-by date, IMO, was during the period when Simon was away.

I think the point was, nobody uses that term. Wink Even a quick Google bring this place up in its first page of results!

I'd assumed it was a typo for axe-by date?

To be fair he also insists on reviewing Eurovision events using the broadcaster name and not the country, rendering them unreadable.

Why are they bothering with the pre recorded nonsense this Saturday when Robbie is also away for the 2 weekends after anyway?

They’re probably doing it because of that rather than despite that. It’ll minimise the time he’s away from the show, perception wise at least.

ITV is currently having sound problems. They've just whacked some text on saying "We are sorry for the temporary interference in sound."

It's what you get for pre recording the programme.

The vote should be pulled. It's wholly unfair to compare Danny's performance that we couldn't hear properly to anybody else's that we could hear.
