I'm a Celeb and Strictly have barely changed at all in years. I'm a Celeb have been using the same tasks and twists for years, while Strictly hasn't adopted anywhere near the number of twists to the format that Dancing with the Stars has in the US, though it has definately loosened up over the years. It works for the Strictly fanbase though, and clearly works for I'm a Celeb too.
The X Factor has pretty much been about evolution than revolution too - though Simon Cowell is pretty bad at seeing what (and whom) works and what doesn't, continually tampering with the audition and selection stage of the process when it is the live shows that have needed work for years.
