Isn't that the case with most of the winners though? Out of all the series of X Factor/Pop Idol there have only really been 3 acts with any kind of longevity.
JLS, Alexandra, Leona? And JLS werent even winners!
I didn't realise that's where JLS came from. That's 4 acts then: Will Young, Leona Lewis, JLS and Alexandra Burke*.
*I'm not including Pop Stars but even then there's only a tiny legacy from that programme - Girls Aloud and Mylene Klass

Wagner missed the bottom two by one place in Week 5, 6 and 7 - so if they'd done the double elimination anytime then they could have been rid. Most controversially I suspect - not that it really matters in the overall picture - is that Cher was bottom last week, so had "viewers votes alone" decided the finalists it would have been Mary. Personally I think both should have gone and it been a final three.
Nothing really of note elsewhere - interesting though how after stealing the first show with Madworld Aiden was only fifth in the vote that week.

There was a satellite feed of the final on 24W last night, it included a second audio option which had the audio of the gallery on it. All the talking to dermot, instructions for cameras, talking about the results before announcing them and much more is on it.
I missed the beginning but have around 90 minutes worth split into two 400MB videos of if anyone is interesting in seeing this, it was very interesting to watch!
If anyone knows a good way of hosting them in flash format that wont get removed (e.g. Youtube!) then please also PM me and I will get them online for streaming.
Just give me a PM and I will send you a link to the files.

I am not sure about the ITV2 show, after about 5 minutes of black on the main feed it just went off completely. There was a separate feed for Colchester which was from the OB there and I presume there was one for Liverpool and the other OB as well. However I only had the frequency for the Colchester and main feed.
