Yes, 0.9m up on the equivalent show last year. It really didn't drag as much as it should have either - and the ads probably actually helped with that. Arguably a two-hour show on the BBC without the ads might have felt longer - especially if padded out with Brucie's jokes.

Yeah, it's commercial music track, and is 9 minutes long. That is what I have off the top of my head. Will go through my files to find it.

Edit: I think it's a Freemasons remix of something?

Edit 2: Ring The alarm, Beyonce, Freemasons Mix. Knew it!

Thanks for that.

Hopefully they've black-balanced out that dead pixel in time for tonight's show on one of the cameras (used for judges), the constant pulsing was very noticeable in HD.

Can't see a problem with a few additional acts, it's running over the same number of weeks, so it'll all be as normal after a few double elimination weeks. SCD has had 3 live shows so far, and nobody's even gone.

Even over the marathon 2.5hrs it managed to average 12.2m - best start to the live shows ever ?

I see double cue dots returned last night, either side of the screen, what's the purpose of this ?

Are they going to have double evictions for the first 4 shows until they down to the same number of acts as previous years? Or will they save some double evictions for later in the series?

Unpredictable result, but the early ones usually are.

Just who exactly is Wagner appealing to ? Laughing

He's in my top two novelty acts alongside Diva Fever. Razz

Both acts really enjoyed themselves and were a pleasure to watch.

If given a rousing ballad or something, I think Wagner has the potential to become a more serious contender.

Think they're only both on some feeds - but AIUI the ones on the left are from The X Factor Studios at Fountain to signal to ITV Network to trigger the sponsor bumper playout. Then ITV Network playout add their dots on the right, in the usual place, to signal the ad break, as usual, and particularly for non-ITV Plc regions (Scottish/Grampian, UTV, Channel)

Guesswork on my part - and I don't know why the sponsorship sting isn't played by the main X Factor gallery - but I guess it is something contractual/historical?

You know when they recap the performances, in between each clip there's an X flash, on a black background. Is it me or is this being incorrectly implemented, and instead of black it should be video? Creating a transition?

It's still there a week later, pretty annoying.

That's always been the case I think.
