I totally agree - 1 extra contestant would have been a bigger twist with 1 judge having an advantage. Also there are too many contestants. Oh well at least we will be down to 14 after tomorrow.

So all 4 wildcards straight into the top 16 - a bit pointless really, would be much more interesting to have just one through to give one judge an advantage. Also rather stupid considering the biggest criticism of Strictly was too many contestants, though at least it's still over 10 weeks rather than 14. It'll probably suffer in a similar way to Big Brother did though when it had too many contestants!

I wasn't watching, but someone told me that there seems to be a ban on the word "show" - was she just imagining things? Apparently the live shows were just referred to as "the lives".
Also, one of the Strictly Come Dancing judges apparently caught himself about to say "show" tonight and changed it to "competition"... are ITV and the Beeb trying to get everyone to take these circuses a bit more seriously?

Yeah like I said earlier. I don't see them as "wildcards" as such because all there've done is bring them back. Obvioulsy created a load of publicity doing it this way, but they might of well as putthem through at judges houses.
I suppose other shows have had a live wildcard only show before the actual live shows properly start - They couldn't have done it with 4. They should have really had a vote with the wildcards, but as the rest of the 12 are on, they can't do that . As Brekkie said mabye a seperate online vote would have been better. Would have even more people going on the website and therefore a win win for ITV.
Also is it just me or has The Xtra Factor being cutting out quite a bit - Think it must be for everyone as the screen turning grey and the logo stills there.

Have you got a clip? There was a small bit of bed I heard near the top of the show and recognised, but didn't watch further than that and it could be that used again.
What's up with the new Bed? Is is part of the official music package or is it just an instrumental of a chart song? I didn't recognise it.

16 Acts is to many for me and I think SCD is better than X Factor this year and the show was to long Simon seemed to be acting defiantly last night I think the right wildcards have been chosen. It reminds me of the 2007 series same category choices but Cheryl instead of Sharon . I would have like to have seen Louis get the boys, Cheryl the groups, Simon the girls and Danni the over’s.
As for who’s going out the girl band bellame i think there called (please correct me if I am wrong) and John .

Can't see a problem with a few additional acts, it's running over the same number of weeks, so it'll all be as normal after a few double elimination weeks. SCD has had 3 live shows so far, and nobody's even gone.
Even over the marathon 2.5hrs it managed to average 12.2m - best start to the live shows ever ?
I see double cue dots returned last night, either side of the screen, what's the purpose of this ?
