Auditions start on Wednesday in Glasgow, and Geri Halliwell will be the first guest judge according to the article below, alongside Simon, Louis & Cheryl. Other guest judges will appear on the panel during the auditions.

Birmingham- 13th & 14th June- LG Arena
London- 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th June- ExCel
Dublin- 28th June- Convention Centre
Cardiff- 2nd July- International Arena
Manchester- 9th, 10th & 11th July- Manchester Central Convention Centre

In other news, Konnie Huq is the new Xtra Factor presenter. Don't know what to make of that really.

She said she simply couldn't juggle both This Morning and The Xtra Factor. I suppose she wants to concentrate on This Morning, I don't blame her.

I am looking forward to Konnie. Although she does have a certain Blue Peter stigma, I think she can attract a very teenage audience and she is really quite a fun character. And she is actually quite well known.

I think her work on Screenwipe must of convinced the ITV bosses

I wonder if they'll refresh the format this year, like giving each judge one act from each category.

That would certainly make it much more interesting - if they stick to the same format tho surely they cant give Louis the groups again.

LED Side panels & rear-projected background now part of the audition set. They also confirmed that the auditions were going to be in HD.

As far as the acts, I'd definitely put my money on a girl winning this year.

That's the same set as last year?

IIRC I think they had the LED side panels last year, but just a static background, not a rear projected background. Might be wrong though.

Alos think it was red last year wasn't it?
