Is it just me, or does Cheryl Cole (now confirmed as the judge) seem to have an extremely edited and perfected voice on that ''Heartbreaker'' song?

Out of all the possible names that really is the worst choice. They should have just stuck to three.

And though Danni may not have had the music management credentials, at least she had some judging experience.

At least she's had a few hit (if dire) singles people can actually name. Unlike Minouge.

Well, I begin to wonder...!

Cheryl..pwff! Still could have been worse, even though I like many here reckon this is still a stunt.

I really can't hear her at all in it, except for about 2 words at the start of the chorus

Regarding X Factor, just the usual lead up stunt

Just found an article from last year about Cheryl Cole pulling out of her role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, saying she's not qualified to pass judgement on people.

That links to a couple of articles rumouring her as an X Factor judge last year after Louis was "sacked".

At the least they'll start off with Cheryl on the panel then ditch her in favour of Osbourne again - just like the Brian/Louis situation last year. Cowell knows how to play this game too well.

So am I the only one doubting that they're doing exactly the same thing as last year then, based on the fact that everyone will see straight through it?

But, the media has fallen for it already.

And you think they'll do it twice? On exactly the same script?

Well, I must admit, the is only thing putting a doubt in my mind.

Start date/time confirmed.

Saturday 16th August, 7.30pm.

Back for a new series with a new judge, Cheryl Cole from Girls Aloud joining Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and Dannii Minogue. The auditions kick off in Manchester before moving to London and Cardiff.

Cheryl is thrown in at the deep end on her first day when she has to judge a friend from her past. In the London auditions, a mother of five shows an amazing talent. And in Cardiff, possibly the worst boyband you'll ever see.

Dermot O'Leary is your host.

(In spoilers is just information some of the auditionees, nothing too revealing but its best to cover them up)

Its also been confirmed that the results are staying on a Saturday because Simon would only do them live on a Sunday and it would cost an extra £500,000.

This Saturday at 8pm is the 'One Year On' show on ITV2, although theres no information as to whether its presented by Fearne Cotton or Holly Willoughby.

Next week on ITV2 they're repeating Best & Worst Auditions from series 4 and Leons version of The Winners Story.
