I felt a bit sorry for Miley. I don't really like her and wasn't really looking forward to her performance but she was far better than Britney and she was under Britney's shadow all night. I know her performance was pre recorded but its a shame Dermot didn't speak to her like he did with Take That.

It was recorded a couple of weeks ago when Mariah Carey appeared. Apparently she was booked to do Johnathan Ross and so was at something of a loose end.
Great tune though. I actually bought it on the strength of her performance.

Well even if she was asked a question to which she responded something like "I think they all did great, its so hard to get up here week after week and perform live" or just something like that.
I'm also shocked at how the judges wardrobe and hair is planned weeks in advance if that was in week 5
As I said earlier I'm far from a fan but she did impress me and was definitely under Britney's shadow. I wish her all the luck for her singing career.

I thought Britney's miming was embarrassing. Some newsrags are practically saying she now needs 50 bodyguards to help wash her in the morning.
Fair enough, she's had a rough time of it recently and I was really pleased when she came out of her breakdown but could she just be taking advantage now?

Simon Cowell has revealed that he may quit his role as a judge on The X Factor.
The music mogul said he is considering giving up his position on the panel and moving behind the cameras.
"I知 definitely not retiring," he told Live magazine. "But I am going to make a couple of changes.
"The contracts are all up at the end of next year and what I may well do is stop actually being on TV. Give up the panel."
Cowell, who turns 50 next year, admitted that his hectic schedule is taking its toll.
"The thing that gets me is the schedule. Every day of my week is filled for the next year," he said.
" Fame takes a lot and it痴 something I never wanted. I知 a music business person."
Would this be the end of the x factor if this happened?

Is this just a publicity stunt? If he does leave though, it will spell the end of the show.
Who's the guest star on Saturday? That'll be the only reason for tuning in..is anyone else bored of it by now. None of the artists are particularly riveting.

I find that very hard to believe.

I reckon he'll get his name in the title on his next project and work more as a music mentor.. i.e Simon Cowell's Ultimate Popstar

I think Cowell has already stated he intended to step down from Idol at the end of his current contract, and despite the ratings, I can't see The X Factor continuing for many new years - though I'm sure Cowell has a replacement in mind already.
