Ruth was great tonight but unfortunately she has been in the bottom 2 several times so obviously isnt that popular. She was never likely to get enough votes to win.
Out of those left there is only really Alexandra id like to win.

I think you're confusing popularity with having a fanbase that will phone up continuously and vote regardless of performance on the night, such as Diana and Eoghan's fans. Ruth appeals to the more discerning music fan, who would either not ring up at all or only ring the once. As happened last year, it looks like the wrong act will win, all thanks to those teenage block votes.
I am genuinely disappointed with the result tonight, and I really do wish Ruth all the best with her career. Her reaction showed what a truly good person she is.
Well firstly what a shambles the artist-oriented themes were once again shown to be. It's a farce - the themes are based on who has a new single out, and who is willing to perform on the show!!
And as for the result - what a tragedy. I switched straight back to "Enemy Of The State" as soon as Eugosdgfh's name was read out! Both he and Diana were terrible this week - Diana really showed that besides the novelty of her performance style, her voice really isn't up to it. I know this has been said before, but I think this week really showed it.
And Eugosdgfh was just TOTALLY boring in both of his songs - he really is just a Northern Irish version of Leon Jackson (who?). It's pathetic that he's going through simply because he is young and "cute" (as Cheryl keeps reminding us - who the hell invited her to the party anyway?!).
I just hope to god he doesn't win, but after last year, I wouldn't put anything past the voting public.
Although the one good thing about these disappointing results is that it provides endless amusement listening to the idiots who claim it to be a fix.

Stunning ratings for the X Factor last night.the perfomance show being the most watched ever I believe, peaking at an astonishing 12.8 million viewers. And the share for the results show was 50%!
When the programme did its bottom 2 stages there were a few theories around that the last person through was in fact in the bottom 3, despite it being in no particular order. Each week since week 2, the last person through has left the competition the following week. Eoghan was the last called through in week 6 but made it through last week, and was called last again last night. Perhaps he isn't as popular as people think. Both Eoghan and Ruth are the only exceptions to that so called theory during last week, but last week any obvious patterns had also been broken.
I can't stand Eoghan and Ruth was one of my favourites so it annoyed me that Ruth went, but even more that it appears she lost out to Eoghan
I think Alexandra's second performance last night has just won the competition for her. She is the only person worthy of winning anyway IMO. She is the only one to come out week after week and give consistent performances.
I was gutted Ruth was voted out, she was one of the best acts on Saturday I thought. No way should Diana have gone through and I felt Eougen (sorry can't spell his name, lol) wasn't that good this week either. For the grand finalin 2 weeks I thought would have been Ruth, Alex and JLS. Now I think it will be Alex, JLS and Eougen. The winner will probably be Alex, she has an incredible voice. Either her or JLS I think will be this year's winner.
I'm so gutted Ruth has gone, her second performance on Saturday was amazing, definitely beat Alexandra's - its a shame she didn't quite get enough votes to pull through.
My original line up for the final was:
3rd - Ruth or Austin
2nd - Laura
1st - Alexandra
I do think Alexandra is a great singer, but really hated Toxic, I prefer her ballad style. But then it won't be a surprise to see someone ridiculous like Eoghan win, with regional backing similar to Leon's last year.
