Ridiculous that a couple of weeks before the final the acts are being forced to do a Stars in their Eyes routine to Britney - someone who is pure pop when none of the final five really are.
Just imagine the demands Miss Spears gave to Mr Cowell.
Well the second songs were definately an improvement on the first - and Alex is probably now the favourite IMO. It's often best in these things not to start off as favourite - Alex has gone from strength to strength while Diana and JLS just seem to be crumbling with each passing week.
JLS were truly awful tonight and have lost all of the identity they had in the early stages of the show, and by rights they should go this week as they're just making up the numbers now.
I think it's quite interesting this evening. THe pop industry is a funny old one. THe power and passion in Ruth's final performance this evening, completely showed Britney up and showed the shallowness and weakness of her "performance" Yet one's a mulitmillionaire, one's a reject of Xfactor, who'll sadly get forgotten and float back off into obscurity. Oh well.
Ruth was sadly never really going to make it in the end. Although a lot of people will have voted for her because of her singing, without that extra regional push, she wouldn't have had enough votes.
Aside from that I think the visuals from the show over the past few weeks have been amazing. Really made the show quite an epic watch. To me the audience facing camera work works well - it seemed to have increased on tonight's show.
