Louis is, to use an over used phraze a legend! Opinionated, firm and has lots of personality.
Dannii and Cherly just say the same thing every week that the contestants were great. I don't think Cherly has said anything negative about a contestant since the start. She's there as the pretty face, not much else.
Don't diss Dannii, she's ace! It sometimes seems she's the only one of them who takes it seriously. It's a shame she's practically invisible since the arrival of Cheryl, I can't see her doing another series after all this.
To call Louis "firm" is laughable. Most of the time his comments are anti-Simon crowd-pleasers, unfortunately he doesn't really have the wit to make them work against Simon!
Danni was better last year IMO - I seem to recall she used to make some relatively technical comments in terms of singing and stuff, this seems to have gone now. I still think she was a poor replacement for Sharon. And I totally agree about Cheryl just being there as a pretty face - what the hell does she know.
So on to the singing, who do you think should be out this week? I can't stand that stupid Irish boy so I hope he goes, however I think I'll be disappointed.
The X Factor contestants are up in arms over the Winners Song which is going to be a cover of the Leonard Cohen song "Hallejulah" - because Diana sung it at Boot Camp...
... and about Diana's voice, it sounds like a cheap rip-off of Celine Dion. I really hope she doesn't win. As a matter of fact, none of them have the talent to win it.

This programme seems to generate a lot of "fury" from both contestants and judges. The SyCo publicity machine going into overdrive more like it.

Yeah a lot of these stories are leaked by X Factor themselves no doubt. I HATE that song, hope that's not chosen.
I hope there's a surprise double eviction this weekend.

She's the only one who does take the mentoring side seriously, though I agree she was better last year. This year you can tell she feels like she's been pushed out by Cheryl, who only ever seems to comment on what they're wearing.

Cheryl lost a lot of credibility the night she sang The Promise live on the show. She bombed to be honest. I think she knew she wasn't in a position to criticise the contestants about singing poorly after that performance. Totally irrelevant mentor, but her looks, her hair style, clothes, her husband etc is what a lot of girls talk about and so is keeping her in the show.
So we're finally on 2 songs per contestant then. It's "US week" - so each contestant can sing 1 US-originated song of their choice, plus a Britney Spears song, as she's the special guest. Song choices are here.
Ridiculous that a couple of weeks before the final the acts are being forced to do a Stars in their Eyes routine to Britney - someone who is pure pop when none of the final five really are.
Is it me or has Miley Cyrus had no rehearsal before her performance tonight?
Dodgy camerawork, sh*t pyrotechnics and hastily shoved together gfx.
Out of all the acts tonight - only Ruth and Alex shone for me. Everyone else just f*cked off when Ruth sang - she's amazing. The other three acts have really suffered, although the thick nature of the British public means they'll probably end up with Ruth and Alex in the bottom two.
