Well, my thoughts (as if I can even get a word in over on Digital Spew).
Daniel - Good attempt but sadly not good enough to make it any further. It all seems pretty typical now, and while he looked like was enjoying himself, his voice isn't strong enough, and there are still tuning issues.
Alexandra - Simply amazing, and she has very good depth to her voice. Very strong and now a joint favourite of mine - although the public are such sheep they will leave her languishing in the middle.
Eggnog - Murdered a decent Michael Jackson song with his fairly childish tone. I was counting on him being out, but the nannas, paedophiles and any girl who likes hedgehogs will keep him in.
Diana Vickaas - Awful. Simply awful. Her throat really shows through and she has awful breath control. Her overacting around her song was also cringeworthy - particularly the 'hand on head' bit. Should have been bottom 2.
JLS - Not as 'Louis' as Simon made out. Very professional and showed they are capable of lots. Strong enough solos still not present though?
Rachel - That's more like it. Strong performance, full of personality and cheeky charm. Don't know how she made it into the bottom two - seems a lot of Diana fans switched back.
Ruth - Good idea putting her last, as her voice wavered a bit but the song was so strong it got her through.
I can't get over how much I HATE Diana though. EVERYTHING is wrong with her - yet she's still in!?

Singing someone else's song in a vain attempt to con people into buying her album again rather than bothering to come up with any new material herself, which based on Bleeding Ears, we should all be grateful for.
She actually sang "Run" by Snow Patrol.
I thought it was a fantastic and very emotive cover. But hey, I suppose compared to you I know nothing about music.

I agree completely! Fantastic cover and has been released due to massive demand after the Radio 1 Live Lounge session. Leona never seems to sing a note wrong and really is fantastic in whatever she does!

She may be deemed the most successful of The X Factor alumni, but despite what Simon says about her not having changed, I just think she comes across all "diva"ish now, though to be fair it's probably more down to Simon trying to build her up as far more successful than she actually is.
I guess my opinion is down to the fact that her one hit single she's had since the show TWO years ago is so bloody damn annoying!

I think you couldn't be further from the truth. Leona has never appeared as diva-ish as someone as dull and talentless as Carey. And you definietly have been living under a rock - what about the last 3 singles she's released?
She took time to tour and went to America, where there's a much wider taste in music than the usual dross over here.

and the plug for the re-release? I mean come on, get the Radio 1 Live Lounge albums or even the separate track on Limewire, dont give her any more money, she has enough. I'l see her in her tour, where it counts... only buy an album if it's a new band struggling like Late of the Pier, not someone who'll get a second album guaranteed.

For me she absolutely ruined Snow Patrols best song, with her irritating voice and the choir, it sounded like any rubbish winners song. Also she did it a lot better in the Live Lounge, probably because Cowell hadn't been in charge of it.
I thought she was supposed to be singing her new song "Forgive Me" or have they forgotten about it now it might not make the Top 10.
