Well he's not exactly going home empty handed now, is he?

Still, he has kinda changed the face of the talent show I suppose...

ITV2 exclusive there, Trevor McDonald is a big fan of The X Factor.

I thought he'd be a Strictly fan myself Laughing

I agree with you, Nurse - which is why I want them dragged out of the studio and into the live shows (like they do on AI, AGT and the live BBC shows). I agree, they're of amazing quality, better than anything I've used before. Perhaps would be an idea to release some commercially...

Well it'd be an interesting way to make a few extra quid! Although a lot of the tracks are cut for the shows. Incidentally I found this interview with the session drummer from these shows (a couple of years ago anyway). Quite interesting if you're a music geek!

Oh and I do love Nige and his fan. It's interesting though that he's the MD for the Nancy shows as well!

Yes, he seems to have rapidly become the standard TV MD for talent quest shows!

Although I think his Lifetime A... sorry... Special Recognition Award makes up for it. Wink

How the **** does Simon Cowell - who's been on screens just five years and in just three shows - get a Special Recognition award, while Brucie is still waiting!

I'm imagining it was a glitch rather than a concious decision, but Dermot's understated and simple intro to the results show was far better than the usual over the top voice over!

So Scott goes through the motions last weeks and gets sent packing. Rachel does the same this week, and is praised for her "raw" talent. And R Daniel's still bloody there.

Anyhow, wise tactical move by Louis - Rachel isn't a threat to his act at all. However, while a couple of weeks ago I thought there were six or seven potential winners, I think after tonight it's probably between Diana and Alexandra.

Of all the themed weeks they could have, next week they are devoting a whole programme to the songs of Mariah Carey. That just might encourage viewers to go out and enjoy a bonfire party instead!

So Louis didn't save Austin ...

and so Daniel "Dead Wife" Evans - makes it through another weak?! Sorry if my jibe seems unsensitive but Daniel doesn't seem to mind using his wife to get places so he obviously isn't that bothered. Austin was due to go but thought he probably had one more week...

Mariah Carey week, can't wait!

Who is voting for Daniel. Ridiculous that he's still in the show.

That's what happens when the judges don't get rid of people when they have the chance.
