Fully agreed. Scott had every right to be furious. I'd be fuming if such a decision was made. TBH I think he stayed silent to avoid saying what everyone else was thinking. It's a shame Simon - who rightly despises Daniel - was wasted in having to vote for Scott by default. If he wasn't in his group it would surely have been deadlock. Very odd that Louis voted him out, given how much he obviously <cough> liked him..

Agreed Scott is a hit n miss performer - though his performance of She's Out of My Life was superb - but on a matter of principle to lose out to a dead wife is simply shameful. What a farce. At least that smug self-serving caberet performer will be voted out next week, allbeit amid a flood of emotional drivel.

I thought it was strange before the sing off that the Judges said they would decide on who had the most passion rather than who sang better. Just seemed it was going to be an obvious choice after that.

I'm surprised anyone takes this shower of ****e of a TV programme seriously anymore. It jumped the shark years ago.

I'm beginning to agree with you here! This weeks decision was disgraceful, and Daniel will go out next week, I'm sorry for his loss, but you can't play on your dead wife forever, mate!

So Disco week next week, bet were all lookin' forward to that Rolling Eyes

I forgot to mention, I thought the camerawork last week made the stage look so much more impressive. it's such a massive set but tends to look tiny and narrow most weeks but this week it looked like a big set piece show.

I have to agree with you there - even with the band there seemed to be plenty of room for the acts.

Which again raises the question - why can't the band (or a variation on a band) be there every week? It's so much nicer than constant backing tracks to a dull karaoke competition.

As far as I'm aware, Wright custom-arranges and MDs the backing tracks in much the way he does with the live band - I seem to recall they are all made on the Monday of each week. So although I totally agree with you that it would be better (I personally much prefer working with live musos), it's more of a visual thing than anything else. I guess with it basically being a pop singing contest, the punter doesn't expect to see a band, therefore there's no need to go through the hassle of having one.

The BTs really are of an outstanding quality - it's not fair to compare them to karaoke tracks! It'd be fascinating to sit in one of the sessions.

It's one thing that often gets overlooked on X Factor, people are happy to dismiss it as a crap karaoke contest, but on the music side of things, there are some extremely talented people working behind the scenes.

I agree with you, Nurse - which is why I want them dragged out of the studio and into the live shows (like they do on AI, AGT and the live BBC shows). I agree, they're of amazing quality, better than anything I've used before. Perhaps would be an idea to release some commercially...

Oh and I do love Nige and his fan. It's interesting though that he's the MD for the Nancy shows as well!
