Scott is one of the dullest contestants ever to grace the X Factor stage, and he was duly voted out after mediocre performances.
Daniel has more depth to his (albeit shaky) voice, although I'm not a muppet, and I understand that he was singing the song about his deed wife, so no need to mention it so many times guys!

I do like Daniel, but i just felt mentioning his dead wife again was, i don't know - there was just something odd. It would have been interesting if Danile just said he would give it his all and not mention anything, then see how the judges reacted. That said, i've never thought Daniel was that bad.

Peter Kay has all but emphasised what a farce this show has become. To be honest, the very fact Cowell slates Geraldine in the tabloids indicates enough to say he's a little concerned! I'm sure if Leon was No1 last week - he wouldn't have said anything.
Saying that, I do admire Diana... she should win just to sprinkle some magical fairy dust over this poor state of the nation.
I also love the way Dannii is trying desperately to be more over-enthusiastic about everything. "WOO!"
As for the results show... I didn't even bother watching.

I'm so glad Ruth made it through without being in the bottom 2 again this week, I absolutely love her. Glad Scott went too - yeah Daniel may have played on the sympathy vote a bit but he was the better performer. Scott comes across as being utterly humourless.

Daniel is rubbish. A pub singer at best and very unappealing on the eye. Scott wasn't the best, but deserved to be put through ahead of Daniel.
The problem I have is that Daniel was put through on the basis of the sob story and not on talent. Makes the show a farce.

I agree, whilst Daniel's performance in the final showdown was very moving I do think that Scott has far more potential to be a sucessful singer so its a shame he has been voted out.
Im quite surprised that Louis voted Scott out - I expected them to take it to deadlock again.
Good to see that Daniel was finally in the bottom 2 though, hopefully he wont be in the competition too much longer - its terrible he lost his wife but this is a singing contest and personal lives should be put aside and concentrate on the best singers.

Based on last nights performance Daniel deserved to go through. Thats what they're supposed to judge on, not potential- purely on the performance. I'm glad for once they did judge like that.
Scott just proved what a spoilt brat he probably is. Its fine to be upset, but don't go into a mood over it especially live on air.

That's ridiculous though. If their aim is to find a star out of the series, the overall potential has got to be much more of a factor than one performance, especially when they've not rated any of his previous performances.
Fair enough Scott probably wasn't going to last much longer anyway, but I think he had every right to be pissed off. He knew as soon as Daniel mentioned he was singing for his dead wife that he might as well pack his bags.
