what an absolute farce... why don't we just rename it "The Dead Wife Factor"! I aint trying to take away from that as it is very sad but I genuinley believe the way he has exploited his situation this evening is disgusting!

Didn't see them either. The whole thing quite felt tacky IMO considering The X Factor's reputation for sob stories.
Talking of which, such a shame Scott didn't have a dead wife. Ridiculous to say the final showdown decision should be based on that performance alone when they've been saying for three weeks he shouldn't be there - complete hypocrisy. It'll serve them right if he goes on and wins the thing now.
Apart from that though, one of the best shows tonight performance wise - though I was nowhere near as impressed with Laura as the judges were. Great vocal perhaps - but couldn't understand a word of it!

Found the Hero thing suspicious, but they just announced on The Xtra Factor that apparently the door jammed, meaning Ruth and Daniel couldn't sing!! I though Danni looked more ''surprised'' than usual!

I agree about the sob story - but in terms of performance, probably because of the story behind it, Daniel pulled it out of the bag.
He has tuning issues lower in his tessitura though, and only seemed to work when he was belting mid-range.
(Before someone complains, tessitura is another word for register, and a dumber than average rhesus monkey could figure the rest out.)

as much as I dislike Daniel, both of scott's performances this eveing were poor and he himself was dull. so I think the right choice was made.
Meanwhile, eoghan doesn't really have that good a voice, not sure why he's in the final to be honest. Oh and I thought scary rachel was very good this week.

Absolute DISGRACE. Don't care what anyone says, Daniel is rubbish and Scott was far better. Very disappointed with Louis for voting off Scott, expected as much from Cherly but not Louis.
Can't believe how biased and subjective the judges were, it's just not fair for Scott. It's a talent show, not a who has the biggest sob story show.
