Michael Jackson tracks this week, and Cheryl Cole performs with girls aloud for their new single promises.

for the song choices and whos singing them

Daniel or Girlband may have the boot this week personally i'd like to see Rachel going as her attitude stinks.

Edit: Don't know if it has been mentioned before but looks like Girlband have came up with a proper name " Heal " as the link above would suggest

No they've just made a mistake with the spacing! The song should be 'Heal the World'!

Cheers for that mate, only know a few Michael Jackson songs!

I've said this since series 3 but the themes does the show no favours at all.

The first two series worked because the artists weren't restricted, so the likes of G4 could exploit their niche and still occassionally try something different. Nowadays the format wouldn't work for them at all.

Michael Jackson Week definately favoured the boys, with the theme only working for Diana IMO. Alex and Laura were OK, but nowhere near as good as last week.

Rachel - well she simply can't sing. As for Ruth - she can't win. If she sang in Spanish every week Simon would be pulling her up on that too. And Michael Jackson is hardly Spanish is he.

Is it just me of is the backing music on every song been far to loud compared to the singing artist??

Can hardly hear them at times (not always a bad thing though!)

That seems to have been a problem for the last few years, certainly since they had the new set. Probably doesn't do the "singers" any harm but when they throw a dance and performance into it it causes problems.

Anyway, notice no one laughed at Deadlock tonight.

From what it sounded like there was a major technical problem at Fountain, as when Girlband were shown their best bits the PIP showed a large square box within the frame and sound quality was terrible on most artists tonight, as well as Girls Aloud (especially Cheryl Cole).

They also left ITV1 EARLY as The Xtra Factor wasn't ready, and the credits on ITV1 got cut, and the Xtra Factor started with the X Factor opening credits with a very tacky 'Tra' plonked on top. Don't they usually start just as ITV1 are finishing and Holly talks over the end theme until the final 'dumph' on the music when they start the Xtra Factor titles?

Hmm... everybody at talkbackTHAMES on YTS courses tonight?

Glad Ruth stayed... she no way deserved the bottom two... And did no one else think Girlband went incredibly off key a few times in the show down? Another question? Why on earth is Danny Evans still there - the guy just screams - Cliff Richard... (Sorry if you're a fan)

I just thought that was Girls Aloud. Can't believe they're still around really.

Think they're still around because they have VERY well produced singles - with lots of studio production that makes them sound good. I'd hate to hear them sing live, unprocessed with just a pared down acoustic backing...

They were on the Live Lounge on Radio 1 not too long ago and they were really good! You can probs find it on youtube or something...
