Dermot isn't very good at filling time. I noticed this last year as well - during the final showdown while the second act is setting up he has time to fill and he always seems out of his depth, tripping over his words, not seeming sure of what to say. I know he also has to listen out for when the act is ready but as a professional I'd expect more.

You're right. This was most noticable when they went to "DEADLOCK" in the results show. The dramatic thunderclap, and studio turning red, had the effect of making the audience in the studio laugh mockingly - you could hear it quite easily. It was hardly dramatic or full of suspense!

Anyhow, the show is now a complete parody of itself - the intros are truly awful.

I was waiting for bars to drop down from the ceiling around the two groups.

And they say ITV can't do comedy.

Holly did mention that he was 'too young' to be there whilst talking with the others.
The whole Deadlock thing was laughable, there's nothing special about getting the public to vote, leaving the decisions up to the judges and the judges throwing it back to the public vote. I really think last night it would have been better to have Louis vote first as he was always going to throw the vote if he could.

Noticed Eoghan seemed to be missing from The Xtra Factor after the results last night. Are they doing the same thing they did with Britain's Got Talent and sending him straight to bed, even though he is 16.
