The ones that are talented this year are extremely talented, but we also have very average acts too. I think Alex, Austin, Diana, JLS, Laura and Rachel are all in with a shot, and I think Bad Lashes, Ruth and Scott are the ones to watch. However I think Danny, Eoghan and Girlband will all be gone in the first couple of weeks. I think its the best final 12 we've ever had, and is definitely the most open since series 2.
I personally think this will be the weakest year yet - we have another Steve Brookstein in the shape of Danny - did he get through cause of his singing talent or his sob story?
I always feel really uncomfortable when he starts talking about his dead wife. There's just something about the way he's so keen to trot out the story that makes you feel he's rather exploiting the situation for his own gain.

He'll be one of the first out I think. Unattractive and not a particularly amazing singer.
I don't think the public will like Rachel at all - not just for her demeanour and story (we're hardly a forgiving nation on such matters), but also as she's just not that great a singer.
Ruth isn't going to get anywhere too - one week the judges will moan at her for not bringing her Spanish roots to the stage, the next week they'll be claiming she's losing herself votes for singing in Spanish.
And as usual too the themed weeks won't work in any of the acts favours, though this year there aren't really any acts who seem to be of a certain genre. I do worry though Louis will go too far down the Motown route with JLS rather than something alot more modern.
Scott is the definite dark horse among those stats. Cute and good personality (doesn't cry!) And I believe Austin is far too hyped and will lose out quick enough.
Girlband, Daniel or Rachel up for elimination in the first week with Girlband getting the boot from the judges is my prediction.

I agree, but I think Ruth is another definite dark horse. Its going to be an exciting year, normally we can call it or say the three or so that its between but not this year. I also think it was stupid of Louis to put through 2 girl bands with 4 members in. For a lot of people I wouldn't be surprised if people get confused between the two, but I think Girlband will be kicked out in the first week.
Seen the video, looks like a different person altogether!!!! Song isn't another bleeding love but better than most of what Shayne Ward has churned out.
What was the point of putting 4 individual boys together in the hope they might work out together? At least last year when they did it the lads all lived in the same part of the country. But ths year it was never gonna work and surely meant it prevented an actual band who arrived and performed together from getting to the final stages.
When they changed their mind at bootcamp and brought Liam back in, they still only had their final 6 boys - surely they already had the 6 if Liam was initially rejected? So surely they must have changed their mind also on someone they had initially decided yes on? Why was this not explained? And last year - when they did the same thing - they took 7 acts further didn't they?
