Is there a repeat on ITV1 today, like there has been for a while? I can't be arsed to go and get my Culture magazine.
TW
Time Warp
Yes, both of last nights shows from 4.30.

That's except for viewers in Northern Ireland who don't get to see who won as the second show (including the results) has been dropped in favour of School Choir of the Year.

Saturday's viewing figures:

X Factor peak 7.5M
Strictly Come Dancing peak 7M

I preferred Pop Idol myself. X Factor revolves around the judges - it's no wonder the 'talent' they produce is crap. I cant stand either Louis or Sharron either...just exactly what is it about her everyone seems to love? Rolling Eyes

Last nights show was a challenge. It was far too long...i can't watch 1hr 30m of Karaoke!. Also it was too predictable - Louis slates Simon's acts, Simon slates Louis, Sharron just sits on the fence *yawns* And at this stage I can't see a lasting star in those 12 - there's some talent, there's no doubt about that.....but the x factor is not in that group of 12.

The X Factor was great on Saturday...but:-

1. I thought the introduction at the beginning of the show was a little rushed. It was only 2 minutes in and we were already seeing the first act. What about speaking to each of the judges in turn like last year and what about Kate saying "Hello" at the beginning of the show rather than introuducing the singers and the judges first off?

2. Why didn't they continue using the theme tune after the opening titles had finished? Why did they use that other "hellish" music? They used the theme tune after the titles of the results show.

3. Why didn't Kate announce WHAT each of the acts was singing? You had to guess the name of the tune and the original artist...this was poor I reckon. They announced each tune last year.

4. After each act, Kate seemed to go straight for the judges verdicts - why not a short sting that was used last year and the lowering of the lights to build up the tension?

So it was good - but a few tweaks here and there would make it superb. They do seem to have missed out certain elements to the show this week for some reason - I wonder if they will reappear next week?

Please let them... Confused:
NU
The Nurse
I do wonder whether they should split it into two at this stage - not only is there a lot to take in, but each song is heavily edited down to a verse and chorus and little else making them sound a bit weird.

Wasn't a shock that Addictiv Ladies went - their harmonies weren't anywhere near tight enough. Vocally I think Andy is by far and away the best person - the judge's comments reflected my opinion. Whether he has the (mythical?!) X factor or not is a different matter...

Wasn't it obvious? - There a 12 acts this year so
they had to cut out the unnecessarys. The show was already 1hr 30mins as it was - isn't that long enough? Rolling Eyes

Yes, but surely 2, 3 and 4 would not make the show unneccesarily longer. Even 1 could be done in 30 seconds!

Wow that was a tense results show tonight, I felt really sorry for Sharon, she was clearly devastated at having to choose between 2 acts who shouldnt have even been in the bottom 2. I hate Louis even more now after the way he kept telling Sharon to keep Chenai in and saying he kept her act in last week - he is so pathetic.

Should have been Phillip and Chico in the bottom 2, they were both terrible tonight.

I think Phillip And Chico should have been in the bottom 2

I did feel sorry for Sharon but then again if she wasnt that sure, and didnt want to break the hearts of two brillant groups why didnt she accept for the public vote ?

ITC? Ofcom you mean?

Simon could have done the same thing so I don't think it's breaking any rules.
