Not just Saturday nights, It's being stripped across 9 days, on every day from Friday 6th Jan I think.

Fern Britton and Ben Sheppard presenting. Cilla Black one of the judges.


What time is this airing then - I'm guessing it's ITV's attempt at sabotaging Celebrity Big Brother (which is stripped at 9pm on C4 from Thurs 5th Jan).

Soap stars singing is nothing new so I don't think it'll capture the imagination like Strictly Come Dancing - I guess it'll depend on the judges!

True - but viewers now have their opinions formed on Big Brother and whether people like it or not, it's respected for being the "original". Soapstar Superstar will just be seen as a carbon copy of shows that have come before it!

Im perfectly calm thanks. You are the one who keeps mentioning me in this thread. And no ive not got the hots for Shayne, quite the opposite actually.

Quite interesting on the Xtra Factor at the moment - there giving a breakdown of how the voting went. Shayne was in the lead after the first performances, but Journey South took over after Let it Be and remained in the lead as the first show went off air.

By the time the results show began Andy moved into first place with a lead of 0.25% over Shane, leaving Journey South in last place - losing by 8%. In the last two weeks on both shows they pulled in the most votes.

Well Shayne Ward is supposed to be the next Robbie Williams. I wonder why he was miming on the Christmas TOTP then when virtually everyone else sang live. Rolling Eyes

LOL I watched TOTP on Christmas Day - swiched over when he came on though.
