I think the hysteria has got to Kate Thornton. We're at over 8 million votes and still (quote) "no clear winner".

Um.. right.. it's exactly 4,000,000 votes each then. I do enjoy watching the show, but I feel the real winner will be Simon Cowell tonight - no matter how sad he pretends to look. I'm sure his next bank statement will raise a smile.

There needs to be proper scrutiny of these voting procedures, not only as regards the result but also in the use of the "ooh, it's very close" lines. That encourages people to vote again, and if it's not factually correct it's at the very least misleading.

I wish Kate would quit all this "there's only a few votes in it" crap. We all know that's not true, they always say it. Would absolutely love Andy to win, he has wiped the floor with the bland and boring Shayne tonight. Unfortunately, he probably won't. Fingers crossed nevertheless.
