What the hell was that bloody racket? Oh it was Shayne singing the darkness Rolling Eyes

Never saw that coming in the results show, a judge voting out one of their own acts. Have to say although I prefer the Conways over Chico, well done to Simon for having the balls to do that. There is no way Sharon or Louis would ever have the guts, Sharon wouldnt even vote when it was 2 of her own last year in the bottom 2.

What's she on about? Why is it the last time there is a showdown between the bottom two acts? What happens from next week onwards?

From next week the act with the least votes will go.

Jez I really can't understand you!

You really bitch about Shayne now - on here and DigitalSpy's forums. At the beginning you liked him. I reckon you fancy him. Razz

It's been brewing for a while - the shock the weak Maria went was more that Simon kept the Conways than Louis!

As for the change in voting - it happened last year, though depends how you look at it. As with last year, it begins two weeks before the final - but last year it began with the final four instead of final five, as this year there is one more act in the final.

Last year from the final four onwards the acts performed twice in the first show, then in the results show their mentors chose one of their earlier songs for them to perform again before the lines closed and the result was revealed.

Okay, Simon hated Chico in the auditions, but votes out his own group.

It's getting a bit obvious now that the show is just a fix.

If it's the same poster on DigitalSpy that I'm thinking of, then he does, doesn't he? Can't say I like Shayne much, dreadful performance tonight, him and Andy are so dull. I'm with Brenda all the way, she was absolutely amazing tonight. Love her to bits.

I like Brenda and Journey South best.

You are right, David, Andy is terribly boring (at least IMO and IYO). Shayne is not my cup of tea (I'm talking about music here), but I can see why he has mass appeal. Smile

I absolutely loath this programme, it sums up everything I detest about ITV these days - in particular, the way it persuades innocent kids and thickos to part with hard earned cash to "vote" for a tv programme the result of which is pre-determined.
The so-called "row" between the judges was a publicity stunt designed to deflect attention from the Simon Cowell court case and to gain some headlines back from "I'm a Celebrity".
The winner of this show is probably already known. The so-called "voting" has no relationship with the final result. There is approximately 10 seconds between the voting closing and the card with the result being passed to the presenter. Now that's quick! How do they do it?
Finally, back to my main point, which is the blatent commercialism of the whole operation whose main aim it seems to be to promote the latest Westlife single. This song was used, you will recall, during the auditions, covered by one of the acts, was promoted during tonights programme, and the band concerned are managed by one of the judges, and on a record label of one of the other judges.
The whole thing is a fix, a way of lining the pockets of the judges at the expense of gulliable viewers, and quite frankly a disgrace.

You loath the programme, yet watch it every week?

People calling it a fix when their favourite act gets voted out, that's a novelty. It only happens during every reality show every year since Big Brother 1, Pop Idol 1 etc. It obviously isn't a fix or else there really would be a court case with tabloid headlines

Not sure I said I watched it every week. As a matter of fact, my wife and daughter both watch it. I watched the Portsmouth Chelsea game myself. Oh, and as for tabloid headlines, check your "News of the World" tomorrow.

How do you know that is me on DS forums?

There probably aren't that many people called Jez who regularly post in topics about the X Factor and who have an irrational dislike of Shayne.
