Still loving Brenda!

I do love this programme - hopefully, you're now all sufficiently outraged to be talking about the decision for much of the week, and the tabloids will inevitably be foaming at the mouth on Monday, have Sharon's response Tuesday, Louis response Wednesday, exclusive with Maria Thursday... Sharon might even threaten to walk off the show - or do it live next week - giving ITV a 'primetime dilemma' even the broadsheets can get stuck into. And watch the viewing figures rocket and the cash roll in! Heck, you may even have been shocked enough to flick over to ITV2 to watch the interviews! Look at their peak viewing figures and their multichannel profile soar!

Do you really think it has anything to do with music ? Laughing

Oh you are so right, Mr Cowell is a clever business man (hence why ITV love him!)

A very interesting result indeed - Sharon was right to be hacked off with Louis' geographical decision. Apparently he's worked with them in the past or something so it's hardly a surprise he went for poor Maria.

I think it was a strange choice of song for her - Simon was right about her being too "clean" to pull it off, but she was by no means bad whereas both Nicholas and Chico were out of tune - something Nicholas has been most weeks. I was interested to hear what sort of a job Chico made of a ballad and unfortunately it was a disappointment. Still the public aren't judging it from a musical point view as I am.

Definitely the wrong two to be at the bottom - the Conways made a very good job of what sounds like a hard song to me, their best performance for a while I thought. I thought Shayne was quite good but it will be dull if we wins. Certainly wasn't expecting Maria to go out.

Why isn't there an option to vote off Kate Thornton? If the show veers slightly off track, she falls to pieces with nervous laughter and sticking to the script with no flexibility.

Sorry, but how pathetic was Sharon Osbourne this evening. Rolling Eyes

Very. But I've always thought she's pathetic. Rolling Eyes I just don't get what is is about her that everyone loves.

And i actually agree with Louis re: Angles. It's just and easy obvious song.

I agreed with Louis on his comments about Journey South singing Angels as well. Its one of those songs that can't be imitated. Its Robbie's song and can only be sung on karaoke if anything.

Sharon needs to stop thinking every show she does is 'The Sharon Osbourne Show' Rolling Eyes ITS ABOUT SEARCHING FOR TALENT NOT HOW REBELLIOUS SHARON OSBOURNE CAN GET.

Aside from that, The Conways were awful tonight. Andy is sadly the best and because of today's chav generation - if he does win, he'll go like Steve.

I thought Journey South were great. Shayne really annoys me, I want him to go, but according to Louis Walsh all the girls will love him after tonight Rolling Eyes

I think the whole show is pathetic IMO. This type of show was great way back in the day with Popstars in 1999?. The X Factor is just the same programme re-packaged. The person who wins the competion never gets anywhere anyway. Rolling Eyes

Will Young got pretty far and is still going strong. Although technically not winners, Liberty X are doing brilliant aswell.

Don't forget Girls Aloud, they're still doing very well, plus their new video is great. Cool

Loved tonight's show! The talkback thames PR machine must be going into overdrive now.

Exclusive interview with Louis in the News of the Screws tomorrow
Monday will feature Sharon having her say
Tuesday's paper will feature Simon Cowell having his say
Wednesday featuring Journey South and how let down they feel
Thursday - the act just got voted out saying the show is a farce
Friday might just have a defence of the programme from SC and/or the production team
Saturday...well they might just have a few more viewers...

Why let the music get in the way, eh?

Oh and the only reason Chico is still there is because he's releasing his "hit" single just in time for Christmas...which surprise surprise was what he sung on tonight's show.
