The annoying thing is, like Hear'Say, Steve whatever, G8, Phixx, One True Voice whatever, you know that the winner will not be successful in the music industry.

Often the runners up are more successful in this than the actual winners. G4, Liberty X, Darius have all had some success and didnt win.

The only winners that have had a big sucess are Will Young and Girls Aloud.

UTV are still using the X Factor breakbumper saying "Tonight" even though it finished over an hour ago!

After watching the first audition show tonight, 3 stood out for me. Trevor, the 16 year old who really impressed the judges, Shane and Alexandra. I could definately see all 3 in the top 10 (or 12).

I cant believe that last woman that went on, her voice to me was nothing more than average. And all her family came in begging the judges to let her through, cant they just accept their decision and leave with some dignity.

I didn't see all of it tonight, but that Brother and Sister got on my nerves and then he started to go mad at Simon Cowell after the Auditions finished! Half the stuff people say make me laugh hard, such as the women who said that Louis said No as they may rival Girls Aloud, yeah right!

Good stuff mind you, plus ITVi was working on NTL tonight.

Yes, I saw that one as well. I think she was a bit out of touch with reality though - I seem to remember her being outside and in floods of tears because the judges has said "no" to her, and that she felt that it was her life's dream and that it was all over etc.

Let me tell her one thing - these talent shows are never guaranteed to produce long term stars - just look at One True Voice, Michelle McManus et al. Their "careers" pretty much flopped after the public lost interest in them after the hype had died down or heard how awful the rest of their material was. She's only 19, and I'm sure will get more opportunities in future if she works at it, and has got to accept that these shows will only produce people who want their "15 minutes of fame".

Some of the stuff did make me laugh badly though - like the bloke with the "invention" and tape recorder who thought he had re-created John Lennon's voice, even though the guy has been dead for decades. And what's the deal with factory workers - they are such good entertainment, but in completely the wrong way. Remember Mr. Barbie Girl/Bee Gees from last year?! Laughing

Oh yes, Michael and Della. "we're not leaving till they let us through" he said. What a ****. They were even worst than the last girl on. And what about that guy who said he had John Lennon's voice on tape. Sharon was appalled. Very Happy

It was good though, I think its going to be another fantastic series.

Yes I felt a bit sorry for her when she was outside sobbing. Its her mothers fault I suppose for telling she is fantastic at singing when she isnt all that good.

Oh I know, that family particularly the mother looked like something off The Springer/Jeremy Kyle Show!

Did anyone watch The Xtra Factor or What Tabby Did Next on ITV2

It's all her families fault for instilling in her that the X-Factor audition was her last and only chance to be a success. They should have been out their comforting her and being positive rather than making fools of themselves on their knees in front of the judges.

In the circumstances I think it was unfair to even feature someone with such low self-asteem on the programme.

Can you imagine if she had got through to the live shows and got voted out, and Kate Thornton would have been trying to control her family running around the studio begging with the judges to keep her in.

Ive not seen the ITV2 show yet, im going to watch the repeat today. I did see the show looking back at last years series, and Kate Thornton said she had problems keeping control of the contestants especially Rowetta the night she was voted off.

Yes - and Phixx well and truly outlasted One True Voice...
