It's time we had a contestant that comes on the show, is virtually penniless, from a poor background and wins the million. To me, this person will be the first REAL winner. It's time that Celador Productions had a more stringent entry criteria, ie those who actually NEED the million, rather than those who are already rich, well-connected and secure in life. As Chris says, 'These are life-changing amounts we're giving out here'. Obviously not Chris, for some of your contestants.

This is unlikely to happen, because someone who is well off is more likely to take risks.

If someone who is penniless reaches, say, £64000 and is unsure of the next answer then he/she will be will be reluctant to risk £32k. The higher the stake, the higher the risk. If you already have a million, then you can more afford the loss, and will be morewilling take the risks to all 15 questions right.

exactly. They should stop people who are already millionaires from entering in the first place.

Why do you think that? Because they're rolling in it anyway? Good luck to them I say. You don't become rich from sitting on your bum all day, you get out there & take risks, which is what this guy did.

So where would you put the cut-off point?

You can't start specifying that only certain types of people can enter WWTBAM or people with a low income. We live in a free country, there is nothing to stop these people from entering and winning the million. They have as much right as you or I.

Like someone said (printed in the media)

The show is called 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?', not 'Who Is A Millionaire And Just Wants More Millions?'!
Very Happy
