Hello fellow viewers,

I just wanted to raise a point about this evening's (Saturday) Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, which was blatantly edited.

Some of you may have seen or heard in the media about a third million pound winner of the gameshow. This evening's programme was simply two hour versions of the programme, spliced together (with Chris telling us how it's 'more minutes than usual'), however, missing something..... a certain million pound win.

How was this obvious.... well somone forgot to sweep up the tickertape off the floor, used whenever the jackpot is won. Also i'm sure Chris had two different ties on during the programme, and two sets of contenstants/audience etc.

Anyone with a video copy please review your tapes, you'll see exactly what I mean. Is this sort of editing allowed, where a major winner was taken out of the programme. as we all know, in America, any edit made to the programme has to be notified, however this is an edit of two separate programmes. Also, why has this occured? Recent news stories?

It has been said that the winner will be shown on Tuesday, however how will this new spliced version be fitted into the programme. The timing of the programme would have meant that he was a rollover contestant, which would possibly cause more confusion....

Good luck Celador!

I didn't tape it, nor did I fully watch it, but I watched the start, and the finish, and I thought he was wearing a different tie! I thought I was going mad, evidentally not then Smile

I didn't notice the tie but I did notice

WWTBAM ran to 9.20 instead of 9.15

At about 9, we were introduced to a new set of contestants

At the end, there wasn't any 'Coming next on ITV1 Daylight', so this section must have been edited, as he didn't mention any next programme

I was in the audience for the recording last Tuesday evening- the show you will see this Tuesday.

After recording the show- he did some links for last night's show, which is probably why you saw two sets of audience and ties.

I don't want to give anything away, so i'll say no more. But new links were recorded.

Its obvious why it was editted.

A millionaire winner after all this in america, might be considered as inappropriate.

Does this mean the million pound winner will appear after a suitable time gap?

I had recorded the programme, but was only half paying attention, and thought it strange when a new set of contestants were introduced.

The Daily Mail said the programme (with the Million pound winner) was recorded on Monday.

I was wondering how they would fit this in, as it would be out of place with the new contestants etc. Also he (Major Charles Ingram) would have been a rollover contestant from the Saturday programme.

Also wasn't the person who got a question wrong, but actually got it right after further research meant to be shown on Tuesday as well...

Hmm, can't wait!

I can't understand ITV / Celador's logic behind this. The viewers are not stupid they do notice when the floor is covered in ticker tape, and that there is a new set of contestants. So, why ?

Did they think the million pound win would be inappropriate due to recent events ? Well if so, why bother showing the programme at all ? Why not just pull it from the schedule until Tuesday ?

ITV we need an explanation please.

In my mind there are only two proper winners of the show. The second bloke and this one coming up. Judith Keppel's circumstances were too exceptional to be lent any credibility. The second cousin of Camilla Parker-Bowles, an ITV employee as her phone-a-friend I ask you! What does she need an extra million for?

Have they ever had any disabled contestants?

I take it you've all seen today's news..

The man who won a Million has allegedly been cheating, as 'coughs' in the audience were allegedly prompting the answers

The Met police are investigating

I expect there is an article about is on BBC News Online

1 cough - Answer A.
2 coughs - Answer B.
3 coughs - Answer C.
4 coughs - Answer D.

I wonder if this scenario was extended to include:

Hiccup - 50/50.
Burp - Phone a Friend.
Fart - Ask the Audience?
