All presenters seem to look down for the time on BBC News bulletins. You see it a lot on BBC News 24.

News24 prsenters have a small clock on the font of the desk. You can sometimes see it in wide shots

We're getting a lot of BBC insiders here lately!

It all helps give us a better insight to how it all works! Very Happy

News 24 presenters have either a clock in the middle of the desk (you can sometimes see it on the wide schot), or the look at the monitors below the cameras and read the one that you can see on screen (Jane Hill tends to use that method).

Ah! So thats what the black thing is in the middle of the desk! If thats what you're talking about.

You can see it on the official BBC News 24 site on the opening page picture with Gavin & Carrie.

BTW, they should use the front shot on-screen.

Is it that sticky-out black thing inbetween Gavin and Carrie, near the front of the desk?
