Which is the worst regional news theme on ITV1?

Classic Millionaire is on that slot at present - the best show in the slot for years! It may be repeats, but it must draw in a good audience - allowing for the competition that is The Weakest Link and Neighbours. And naturally, Calendar would inherit those viewers...

It does ok but is beaten by BBC 1 and 2 in the YTV area.

eg: Mon 4th Aug at 5.30

BBC1 =27.1% (Neighbours)
BBC2=24.8%(Weakest Link)
ITV1=14.9%(Millionaire)
C4=12.6%(Home from Home)
C5=9.7% (Some movie)

That's not really the best day to choose, as Richard & Judy are usually on Channel 4 at that time.

...which makes v little difference. R and J get a figure in the early teens in YTV land so the example above is a fairish picture of who watches what at that time.

I'm not normally one to pick out similar looking logos and declare them plagarism (especially since the 'designers' of modern logos very rarely actually designed the font and 2 colours they use anyway) but seeing the purple and blue calendar logo pulled up did remind me of something:

Now I can't believe that both of those were designed independently and happened to look so similar through co-incidence - the Calendar logo must have been based on the Central version - it's basically the same thing tilted on an angle with the proportions of the shapes changed.

Classic Millionaire is a load of crap - what are ITV thinking. I sometimes watch the weekest link and also tape Neighbours so I watch those 2 shows that are shown in the 5-6 slot - for once I think the BBC are better than ITV for the 5-6pm slot. They are the only 2 progs I watch regularly on the Beeb.

I then switch over and watch the local news on ITV1 with Lucy/Jon - I dont like the news on BBC1 at all - national or regional.
