Anyone seen the latest advert from Walkers featuring Mr Potato Head. It starts by saying how good the crisps are and then goes on to eat one. Surely we shouldn't be applauding cannibalisminto television these days
Sad bit of news related to "irritating" ads that I read on another forum, I hope it is correct as I have yet to prove its accuracy - apparently the bloke from the Elephant.co.uk ads died, not sure how.

I read it on the TV Ark Forum, very sad to hear indeed, the Elephant ones were more bearable and had a sense of humour to them, compared to half of the tripe on offer. But apparently his family said to keep the ads running as a tribute.
*Though there are no sources (other than TVAF) that says this, and no mention on Elephant's website.
This might just be a personal thing, but I really hate the adverts for Actimel with the woman running around, rollerskating, jumping in puddles and generally acting like a twát. And that inane 'Ta-na-na-naah' music really grates on me.
I think it falls into the 'wacky' category, which is probably why I hate it.
- Crazy Frog
- All mobile phone ads (ie 82228, etc)
- All solicitor and bank ads (ones where they say consolidate all ur debts into one easy monthly payment)
Suggestion: Shall we make this thread the Best and worst ads on TV thread?
Norton Finance (I think). Always in the afternoon, on Five. Bloke in suit walks accross a tight rope. At the end 'Don't slip up, call Norton now!' I'm transfixed by it! I just love to hate it, he's so unconvincing - like you'd wear a suit and do a tight rope walk. I hate all ads with a financial conection - they act all friendly and cosy, then remind you at the end how if you cann't pay up, they'll come and reposess your house and hunt you down and your first born!
