Here we go again. Don't get me wrong I'm a great fan of the music of Elvis and he was truly the King of rock and roll but really....is there any need for this?

I'd rather pop down my local and watch karaoke.

In fact I wonder if the guy who gave Louis death threats on the X Factor last week will be on it. Shocked

Well he worked down Kirsty MacColl's chip shop for while didn't he? Wink

Seriously though is there any need for this programme... I feel they are just starting scrape the barrel with these vote-for-me reality shows

I'm rather hoping someone will get the wrong end of the stick and turn up in National Health glasses, clutching the sheet music of "Good Year For The Roses".

Just look at the Di-ly Obsess . That's managed to keep going on about Diana for ten years, so if it's an influential pop singer I think the BBC would be able to go on about it for even longer.

The programme, however, still looks rubbish.

here's my advice,
choose a wall near your telly
buy some paint,
paint the wall,
watch it dry whilst this Elvis programme is on and enjoy the most entertaining Saturday night in you've had for ages Laughing

Sounds to me like a typical Summer filler.

Hold on, it's the 22nd September on Saturday...

It's too contrived, again. I would, actually, be quite a bit more likely to watch if it was indeed a bunch of Elvis Costello tributes rather than Presley ones; at least that would be different enough to warrant a peek!
