Shocking News, but from a TV Presenatation point of view.....
ITV1 went straight to Kirsty Young after the 1st part of Crossroads had finished.
A squashed static caption and a Carlton announcer were used.
Not sure where ITN on ITV1 have got their astons from.
All the news channels plus BBC1, ITV1 and Channel 5 are now showing the coverage, using the same pictures. BBC1 have joined BBC News24 by the looks of it.

Did Crossroads come back? Will CITV be shown today? Has People Versus been cancelled? (visits ITV's website) Now and next looks normal. It says 'NOW Catchphrase NEXT ITV News LATER Mopatop's Shop' Which is WRONG! Catchphrase has been cancelled! Crossroads will the the next programme, it got interrupted and didn't return, didn't it?

I noticed that,an ITV1 logo on a black background after the Crossroads ad break with a 'We interrupt this program to bring you a special report from the ITV news centre.' And then no music for a while as Kirsty Young was wearing black:I thought The Queen Mother had died!
BBC Two are showing the confreance,Channel 4 don't care and are showing a black and white film.......

Are Sky News running adverts? What are ITN News (Channel) doing? Why do I have to be at college when this sort of thing happens?
Was any special music used on BBC News? What about BBC World? Why am I asking so many questions?

CNN say the White House has been evacuated .. are they expecting more attacks?
(Yes, I am reduced to watching CNN from Hotbird in my German lesson! I'm supposed to be doing some work with the PCs but I'm in TV Forum and watching CNN! Great!)
EDIT: is BBC Online down? It's the only site I can't load, and I'm on a T3 connection!

All of the BBC site was unavailable / incredibly slow. The same for europe.cnn.com and cnn.com
