Well we know that there is the main presenter, the business presenter and the sport presenter, but in the opening sequence, there is only the news and the business presenter, and not the sport presenter, shouldn't the sport presenter be there with the biz presenter in the middle?

I have thought about this before, but you couldn't get all three presenters sitting at the news table, in order for it to look professional. Also I think they only have two presenters because the Business presenter presents WBR straight after it!

Yeah but on BBC World, the two hours after TWT, we get the BBC World News(TWT style) and there is WBR and Sport Today after it! and during the bulletin, there is the sport presenter, yet it's always the biz presenter in the opening sequence with the main presenter!

In the two bulletins after TWT, presented by Martine Dennis/Lindsey Brancher/Mike Embley, do they use the TWT music? I ask this as I caught the end of the 0725 GMT the other week and the end titles were the TWT ones. Was this just a mistake?

Personally, I think the programme should be hosted by two news presenters, Mike Embley and Martine Dennis and then another presenter with Lindsey Brancher on a Friday. Perhas give someone like Brian Hanarahan a bit more of a go, or promote one of the BBC World News presenters to TWT, and replace them with Brian on a Friday. Perhaps someone like Peter Coe or Stephen Cole? This would mean that they could do the sport and business, including WBR, from the separate BBC World News studio, like during the specials after Sept 11th? Oh well its a thought!

Yes, World does use the TWT music for 2 hours (at least one hour) following TWT.

Yes, they use it for two hours after TWT...but it's stupid that they call it BBC News...they should continue to call it The World Today, after all, the jingle is different!

Perhaps they're giving it a run in preparation for the change?

Err, going back to the original question... TWT is primarily a News & Biz programme, both taking up the majority of the show.
Sport in comparison has an ickle slot.

And yes, the opening wide shot would look horrible. And could be embarrassing for female presenters wearing a skirt!
