ITV have integrated their scorebar 'arrows' a lot more effectively though.

ITV's arrows appear to be a feature of their new graphics package as they appear on the astons elsewhere, ie. Formula 1.

I could understand the BBC arrows better if they were pointing in the direction that the team are playing in but they both point to the right.

That's true - we're used to arrows signifying something. If they were looking for a neutral shape...circles would have been a better choice! It would make the scorebar look a bit neater.

The BBC and ITV have actually shown some common sense in scheduling the final group games last week when two matches are played simultaneously.

In the past usually the listings have said they would show one of the two games, despite it being pretty obvious which will be the bigger game, but all of next weeks games on both the BBC and ITV have been pre-deterined - though I'm sure if neccesary, they'll switch them.

ITV1 shows games on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the other afternoon games on ITV2 with evening games on ITV4.

BBC1 shows games on Thursday and Friday, with the afternoon alternative on BBCi and the evening game on BBC3.

I've always wondered, why don't they have one on ITV and one on BBC for the last group game? Are the matches sold in pairs or something? Then there'd be full terrestrial coverage.

This FRA-SWI match is appalling!

No caps, but I'm sure the BBC have now completely changed their scorebar font size: the clock and scores are now rivalling ITV for size and prominance.

Anyone else spot the change Confused:

It looks a lot tidier, just from beefing up the font a bit and tightening up the unnecessarily large gaps. Fits in with the professionalism of the rest of the graphics now.

what does Angus Scott do nowadays? I notice he has been making a few appearances on ITV's World Cup coverage.

I think he does the Rugby 7's for ITV4 and some of the Motorsport coverage.
