First thoughts on the Beeb
Very nice titles, wonder where'll they'll slot in the first England goal when they've got one on VT?
Set is OK, but not a patch on 98. Only see the Gate when the camera's on Gary, and not much of it. Rest of the time just an office or hotel in the background.
Oh no, it's Jonathan Pearce. Come back Barry Davies, all is forgiven. He will certainly be the worst part about the BBC's coverage.

Very cheeky of them!

Nice titles - loving the gold bars flying out at the end. Not sure about the music but then I've never really been a fan of the classical ones.
And how funny to use the German sung version of "Heroes" as their first VT piece.

I agree you can't exact sing or even hum along to the classical ones
The World Cup 2002 titles are on TV Ark, but can anyone remember what each channel used in Euro 2004?

The only one that I can remember top of my head is BBC's coverage which was Basment Jaxx - Good Luck.
Edit: Beaten to it....
ITV's was Max Sedgley - Happy.

If I remember correctly, the BBC used a version of Basement Jaxx's "Good Luck".

Whats with the arrows theme in the BBC coverage? And the clock is quite small as well. Seems a bit odd. Like the titles, but don't really like the music that goes with them. 1998 has to be the best for BBC titles I reckon!

And whilst we're on the topic of graphics, why is the 'GERMANY 1-0 COSTA RICA' thing about 200 times bigger than the rest of the text?

That logo was introduced by FIFA in 2002, and it is the official FIFA World Cup 'Universal' Logo.
It was used by Korea/Japan Logo in 2002, on the basis to introduce it.

Not exactly sure... but I reckon the Beep are using Japan Korea's logo when they cut away to slow motions footage.
Have a look... this gold logo fly’s across the screen and IM SURE it’s the old logo not Germanys new one.
What do you all think?
