Jon Briggs voice is also used as an automated announcer at Kings Cross Circle Line station and on some speech machines used by people with speech problems.

Apparently he goes by the name "Daniel" on text to speech programs!

I've been looking for the name of that Kings Cross announcer for years! Thanks! Smile Can't believe I didn't recognise him from The Weakest Link.

Put in "Due to a security alert.. All passengers are advised.. that the 'Circle Line' has been SUSPENDED." I could listen him saying that all day, it sounds so authoritative.

I used to have a list of these (worked for the company who put the BR ones together). Hadn't heard of any of them.

I think the New Street one is the same guy who does Leeds and a number of other smaller stations in the area.

IIRC, I think it's Phil Sayer.

Edinburgh Waverley is former station manager Juliet Donnachie. It was revealed in the local paper last year that she had to go back to record new words for NXEC and First Transpennine Express, when their services started to call at the station.
