The Woolworths Smash Hits T4 Poll Winners Party

Who else thought that this years Poll Winners Party was rubbish? Here is why:

1) The graphics were rubbish
2) The stage is rubbish
3) The bands were rubbish

I ain't watching it again.

Whoever gave the rights to Channel 4 were mad.

I wondered if it was just me, but it was seriously bad. And why did it have that film style look to it. It's difficult to explain but it just didn't feel right.

Exactly - after what Channel 4 did back in the summer (at the end of July).

and what was that.

Plus that awful thing YOU ARE A WINNER. That had no suspence, where were the snippets of the songs / people.

Silly Channel Four - going the way of ITV - Style to Sh*te.

Well this was the worst awards show i have ever seen - even Atomic Kitten werent wearing anything daring!

But ITV must be congratulated for their record of the year show as it was thoroughly enjoyeable from Atomic Kitten to .... Atomic Kitten.

Ok so all the local ITV1 presenters were all down in the south bank and the promotions between programmes that ant and dec were doing were being cut off and yeah the scoreboard was a bit sluggish but all these things made the programme what it was and when things run smoothly it can be quite boring and mundane!

Well done ITV1 i enjoyed it - it was everything the Smash hit awards should have been!

The Smash Hits Awards are normally good viewing and part of the build up to Christmas! Channel 4 totally ruined the show in my opinion - disgraceful.

Yeah, but your all older teenagers..it is primarily aimed at youngsters about 12/13. I thought channel 4 did an excellent job..and as for the graphics..you try fitting 'smash! hits T4 Poll Winners Party 2001' into a good looking graphic!

My Dad was the one who told me that the POLL WINNERS PARTY was on Channel 4, I couldn't believe it! The BBC have had it tradtionally for years, the graphics looked like they'd been notched up in 5 minutes by a 5 year old, they were **** , u didn't even see who the people were just a name, what's T4s excuse, oh sorry we couldn't be arsed, ****!!!!!! that's all I can say, I've watched that show for years and never have I see such a disgrace, anyone in this forum could have done better graphics and stupid adverts init aswell!

BBC binned it 'cos they wanted to start their TOTP Awards... it seems we're getting four strong, competitive pop brands, (Smash Hits, TOTP, CD:UK, MTV), in TV, mags, web etc.
