Without Prejudice - an interesting show which was worth watching just for the reaction of the winner but I'm not sure if it will work as a series.

Anyway, five contestants are whitled down to the finalists one by one, with an add break after each elimination. However, C4 also stuck an extra break in between the final head to head and the revelation of the result, meaning 4 breaks in a 1 hour and 5 minute programme, followed by an ad break after the programme.

The structure of the programme allows for this, but also doesn't need it. I hope this does not become a regular occurance.

I dont think I like that programme - but it does seem interesting.
I hope this 'extra' break thing doesn't catch on too much as well

(My comments originally posted in the Blind Date thread):
OT: A show which did grab my attention tonight was Without Prejudice on Channel 4 in which several members of the public had to decide who out of a group of 6 people should get £50,000 based on very little information about them - ie; their opinions on the people competing for the cash. They were presented with a little clip of evidence and would then debate about who should get the cash and what they thought about the people and I found it really interesting - especially as their opinions kept chopping and changing and some of them made some very stereotypical statements - in the end they gave it to a 48 year old estate agent from Swansea who they all (except a teacher from Aberdeen) bitched about until the end when they met her and she was so warm and bubbly they had to give her the money. Okay, I've gone way OT but I mentioned Swansea so this all must have some shred of relevance? Laughing

It was the first time in ages I've been grabbed by a show and really got into it - it's imaginative, original and some of the best TV I've seen for ages. Liza Tarbuck was a brilliant host - moving on the conversation where necessary but letting the panel talk it out and not dominating it which would have ruined the show.

I thought the final ad break could be quite good for building up the tension, although if it was after the debate (I can't remember if it was) there's little point to it.
