All American broadcasters are parochial when it comes to sports coverage (and other things). I do recall a fairly well publicised fuss at the Atlanta Olympics, because of course the TV coverage that all the competitors saw locally, only concentrated on US athletes, and there were questions regarding the quality of coverage. The IOC assured that the TV coverage as seen (or at least fed) internationally was totally unbiased and comprehensive. It doesn't really help folk inside the US,who want broader coverage. In other countries such behaviour might be called propaganda !
