So the BBC Sport astons have one of their first colour changes depending on the competition, that awful olive green being used just like the OBS graphics.

It looks good on those graphics. It’s the style that lets it down in the OBS application in my opinion.

The sets pretty impressive too for a Winter Games.

Gangnam Style- is it 2012 again?

John Lennon’s Imagine, too! Also used in London 2012!

Just watching the opening ceremony back. I can understand the point of commentators for some parts of an opening ceremony, but to describe everything has made it feel like an annoying form of Audio Description that you can't turn off with unneccary comments, e.g. "Surprise, surprise, the mural's about to come to life", give it 5 seconds and I would see that for myself. Can't we enjoy the visual and audio that the host broadcasters have lovingly crafted?

Are the OBS graphics pretty much exactly the same as Rio - look to be the same (awful) colour.

Exactly the same.
Same style, same shape, same timing and caption positioning, same font, (Sochi had a hideous larger font than London 2012 for some reason)
Only two noticible differences. Name aston colour backing is a muddy olive green, and there are falling opaque snowflake animations on the event title captions.

They usually manage to get a bit of the OCOG's look of the games in their graphics, but persist with the same typography.

Looks a bit better with Hangul characters, though:

OBS have been billing a 22:13KST finish for a few days now - I'm sure someone told the schedulers!

A lot of the time it's sounded like they were just reading the stage directions. Lots of crashing over the announcements too. There's even been a couple of occasions they've read the wrong things out too - the jobs the children had as grown ups was particularly obvious.

That bit where they just showed the schedule for upcoming events- they don't seem to be sure whether they're meant to be using the 12 or 24 hour clock!

Not sure why the small (and in this case wrong) BBC Sport logo is even there; clearly, it must be the fall back option, but the Olympic Rings would do the job and not clash with the (correct) BBC Sport logo looming large next to it.

By the way, where is the studio? Seeing as it still seems to be daylight there.
