Not even sure why people are saying it can't be shown any more. I can't remember anything bad about it.
White actors "browning up" and putting on Indian accents is the main issue. Possibly some argument to be made about homosexual stereotypes, but it wasn't any worse than 'Allo 'Allo in that regard, as I recall.
Never the Twain ran for 11 series and is probably still the last real ITV sitcom people can remember

Nobody's ever stopped GOLD from showing it, it's one of those things which people like to say is banned, even though it's not. Like saying "Merry Christmas".

It Ain't Af Hot Mum is not a sitcom that's ever really entered my consciousness and I don't think I've ever watched it apart from the odd clip
I think it's not been repeated that much just because it's not as good as some of its contemporaries. It's Croft and Perry's difficult second album.
Also the situation it's set in isn't as relatable to the audience as others - wartime India is an obscure bit of history

I used Never The Twain reference in the intro because I remember the show when it first came on.
"Never the Twain actor"???
I appreciate that different people remember different things, but surely Windsor Davies will only every be the one off It Ain't Half Hot Mum?

That's only because the historical narrative and the media have really only ever focused on the European theatre of war. My late grandfather served in India/Burma during WW2 and he always lamented that they were the "forgotten army". Yet, their contribution was just as important as anyone's in Europe. The Japanese were a formidable enemy and the conditions the troops were fighting in were horrendous - unbelievable heat, tropical jungles, monsoon seasons, wading through rivers, unfamiliar diseases etc. All this as a 20 year old far from home. The experience was so horrific that my grandfather never ever spoke about it as long as he lived. He used to wake up frequently with night terrors even as an 80-year old man. I've always enjoyed "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" as a result, as it gives me an, albeit comedic, insight into my grandfather's life. Anything that can raise awareness of that campaign is a good thing, in my opinion.

Presumably when David Jason kicks the bucket you’ll be describing him as ‘Danger Mouse actor’ in the the description.

Forces TV?! What an odd programme to buy.
To be honest I think of him more for Never The Twain, than Hot Mum
Worth noting that by sheer coincidence Forces TV are going to start repeating Never The Twain in the next couple of weeks.

Never The Twain would be more the sort of 80's sitcom you'd see on ITV3 or GOLD, although more former than the latter perhaps.
Although, Forces TV have been showing stuff you might not expect on a military themed channel like Knight Rider and Street Hawk

Actually they are the kind of programmes I expect to see on it. I know neither are military related but they have a similar actiony feel and appeal to a similar demographic.
A twee sitcom about antique dealers seems very odd
