Possibility we might see the BBC One schedule ripped up later today, as Murray has not long started on centre court in a match that has four or five sets written all over it, with Jo Konta to follow, and BBC Two has the Somme Vigil live from 1900. I can see the tennis possibly bouncing from BBC One to Two at 1800 and back to One at 1900.

Will BoJo and cats stuck up trees be enough to move Murray to BBC Two?

I think in the second round, yes. If it was against a top seed next week it might be different.

Whether they think Jo Konta worthy of BBC1/2 or relegate her to the red button tonight remains to be seen, especially after criticism recently that they prioritise the men's matches over the ladies'.

BBC Two coverage ends at 7.30. So if the Konta match is still on it will have to be on the red button or BBC 4. Can't see them dropping/delaying EastEnders for it.

Sorry, yes I thought it was 19:00 not 19:30.
BBC4 not a bad call actually.
It's a good job the BBC didn't pick tonight's Euro 2016 match.

Murray finished just before 1800. Worked out well.

Sighs of relief all round as Murray completes his match with around 90 seconds left until the News at 6 on BBC One!

They wouldn't move or delay the news for just a second round match, usually happens in second week only, or at the weekend when the evening schedule is often weak and easily droppable.

Moving to BBC Four at 19:30

Missed the end of the second set while they changed channels. Why couldn't they have dropped some trailers on both channels for a smooth handover?

1930 was a critical junction tonight on BBC TWO. I think missing a couple of points in the context of Somme 100 is excusable.

I'm not saying they should have gone to the Somme Vigil late. Did they show trailers in between? They showed at least two on BBC Four. No harm in dropping them to go to Wimbledon 90 seconds early so that people switching over get to see the action uninterrupted.

Right-sided DOG on BBC Four HD.
