I wonder if this is in response to numerous complaints about the regional news in England being bumped for Wimbledon?

I think The One Show and Panorama will move to BBC2. EastEnders pushed back to 2030 if required.

It would be an odd decision if what the EPG currently shows actually happens, what's special about 6:45?

There is no set pattern. It depends on the round and how far the match is from finishing.

Seems BBC2 left the epic Goffin v Raonic match as Raonic was serving for the match to switch to Murray then.

Presumably they want some overlap and maybe some buildup on BBC1 before they switch back, and then a roundup on BBC2 before they go off air at 1900 if indeed that is the plan.

Yes and it wasn't even on the red button (although I would never call any match involving Raonic epic, as he is so dull to watch)
