Probably been saying it here for years, but during Wimbledon, move the 1 o'clock news to 12 so you can then start the BBC 1 coverage with the centre Court match, without disrupting the coverage on BBC 2.

And then Wimbledon 2Day should be at 9:30pm at the earliest, especially in the first week (and if we have a Murray late finish, push it back post Newsnight, rather than dropping it completely please).

Start of Wimbledon 2Day is currently being delayed for Venus Williams, which is an odd choice, especially when we currently have the same match (Errani) showing on two of the red button streams on freeview.

They should definately let the main BBC2 coverage run till 9pm - even if play finishes earlier with up to 15 courts there is action they can show as live in the evening. I get why they might not want to run tennis virtually all evening on BBC2, but actually in a time of budget cuts why not. Would be interesting actually how it might perform on BBC1 at 9pm for the fortnight.

The undoubted best thing about Wimbledon 2day is this Lambie-Nairn '2' model it's just gained:

I am extremely fortunate to be able to catch a good percentage of the live coverage this year; I would be hitting the ceiling if I had to rely on this programme to show me the match stories and (most importantly) how they unfolded, because it certainly isn't doing that.

Not that Today at Wimbledon succeeded in this respect either - it's the same problem that programme suffered, exacerbated by Clare Balding looking visibly uncomfortable. Different audiences and all that considered, this is still embarrassing in comparison to what Sky and Eurosport provide for their ATP tour and other slams coverage.

Hmm... It's not really going that well is it?

Location looks like a corporate hospitality venue. No sense of place of being at Wimbledon. On-air too early so you have to curtail matches still in play.

Wasn't a fan of the Commonwealth Games highlights show. Felt like it was trying too hard. This feels like a cheaper version of it. If it were on at 10pm it might make sense. But at 8.30pm? (The Last Leg is still definitely the way to do this kind of show. )

Anyone remember "Wimbledon Garden Party" on BBC Choice?

One thing that the BBC have improved on is the updating of the accompanying metadata for each of the connected TV streams, last year frequently it took up to 20 mins for the players playing to be updated once the preceding match completed. This year it seems to be linked with the tournament IBM driven score system and is updated more or less immediately.

Wish they could do that on the EPG

Sorry to re-ask a question from further up but did anybody see my query about galleries for each Wimbledon court? Is there one for each court and where are they? Run from trucks or permanent infrastructure?

AIUI Centre Court and Court Number One (and possibly one other) come from trucks (or did until SISLive lost the contract). The outer courts with multi camera coverage are covered by flyaways/flypacks/derigs (whatever you want to call them) run from within the Wimbledon broadcast centre I think. The facilities are definitely non-permanent - it's only a fortnight a year.

And not all courts have full multi camera coverage. Most of the outer courts that hold doubles matches would probably have just one overhead camera and possibly the umpire chair automatic for Sues around the grounds catch up.

One thing about Wimbledon 2day, you can tell its work in progress, every night is different so far. They shouldn't be trying things out on the BBC's biggest sporting event of the year. It should have been polished first.

They keep moving the table and chairs, moving the audience, they've dropped that bit where the guest closes the show.

It's almost as if they wanted to do a show like the one at the Commonwealth Games but decided not to bother so just did it half arsed. Clare Balding is unusually poor on this as well.

Scrap it you are better off watching on Setanta they are using img's highlight show, no talking just straight to the highlights

Is it a case that they dropped John Inverdale because he presents The French Open on ITV or was there another reason for it? Thought he was excellent on Today at Wimbledon in the past.
