Interestingly the strap was in the BBC ONE red colours. Straps like that have been on before during Wimbledon, but are usually in the colours of the channel the match is being shown on - as the match was being shown on BBC TWO, then really it should have been in the deep aqua colour (as they were always in the purple colour when they were shown on BBC TWO previously)...
Is it Network Control who put up the captions, or is it BBC Sport Presentation?

A strap saying "Peter and Dan Snow: 20th Century Battlefields" will follow this programme just went up. Did this show in Wales, where they weren't showing it anyway?
Presumably Have I Got Old News For You is going to be cancelled.
Good match, though.

The caption looked like it was put on by network, since the one at 8 had a BBC Sport logo and scrolled on.
In England and Scotland, as already posted Dan & Peter Snow follows Wimbledon, Today at Wimbledon at 11:20 then Balderdash & Piffle at 0:20. HIGNFY dropped.
Wales aren't showing Today at Wimbledon according to Sky. Wales Today at 9:30, The Welsh in London at 10:00, Dan & Peter Snow at 11:20 and Balderdash & Piffle at 0:20... though they would have had time to show Today at Wimbledon also.
Not sure what NI plan to do as their schedule hasn't been updated. edit: Peter and Dan Snow on now so when will the show The Monday Championship which was scheduled at 10:00?

Exactly Jez.
More generally though, I hate it when people complain when shows which are on five nights a week, most weeks of the year, are taken off briefly.
Live events should ALWAYS take priority over recorded content, and IMO (though not in many others it appears) it's always better to pull the show completly for the period rather than throw it around the schedules.
At the absolute most shows like Neighbours are affected something like 4-6 weeks of the year (even less this year with no Olympics/World Cup etc.) - and the soaps on ITV affected even less.
In the grand scheme of things, it's nothing!

You seem to be missing my point. Neighbours is off air in Oz for at least 3 or 4 weeks, possibly more, over Christmas (their summer). So the BBC has to take it off at some point to prevent us getting too close to Oz episodes. They are better off taking it off air for a fortnight when there is something worthwhile to replace it with (Wimbledon fortnight) rather than take it off for 2 random weeks in March or something.
They also take it off for Bank Holidays normally to make up the other couple of weeks its off air in Oz.
People complaining obviously dont realise that we have to take a break sometimes - before 6 years ago it wasnt a problem as we were so far behind Oz we didnt need breaks (just like Five havent needed to take Home and Away off until quite recently on Bank Hols)

I'm not missing the point; I am aware of the catchup issue like everyone. While it may seem more convenient for the BBC to pull Neighbours during Wimbledon, it deprives many of an alternative to tennis.
There are other ways the BBC could make sure we are the right distance between Australia - two random weekly stoppages being one idea of course, or even reducing the show to 4 or 3 times a week for part of the year.

No wonder ITV are in a state with logic like that.
You are missing my point totally fishyfish
None of the programmes are unmissable, I don't deny that many people watch them. Stop trying to turn every thread into some BBC v ITV thing

Reducing it to 3 or 4 times a week would probabaly make people complain just as much. Also what is the point in them taking it off air for 2 random weeks when they have nowt to replace it with.

So is Neighbours . I'll be glad when it shoots off to Channel 5. I'm all for a constant live feed from Wimbledon showing it raining for twenty-five minutes leading up to the news.

I'd like to complain that they take the tennis off for 50 weeks of the year and show neighbours instead
so we have rain stopping play and Tim henman attempting to actually win,
Wombledin is so predicable

The scheduling of this programme never ceases to amaze me. It doesn't seem to cross anybody's mind that its normally still playable conditions up until at least 9pm at this time of year, therefore it would be a far more sensible idea to air Today At Wimbledon at a time when its going to be beyond playable conditions - say from 9:30pm, instead of putting it in at the unworkable time of 8pm.
