...the testcard and music?
No, don't think so. So how are the BBC filling the rain filled gap this lunchtime?

Probably showing classic moments from previous tournaments like they always do.

It's gonna be a washout...

Thanks Rob. I wondered if they would either show matches from last year or run normal daytime programming till they were able to show live coverage.

That's what they normally do. I wouldn't know what they're doing at the moment, I'm not near a television.

I've just flicked on now and its just banter between Sue, John McEnroe and Greg Rusedki and plenty of filler items like whats going to happen to court number 2 which is to be improved at the end of the competition.

How weird is centre court with no roof?

Hopefully they'll get some play soon so Henman can be knocked out on day one.

There should be no risk this year of the annual BBC1/2 evening switching argument just to show a Henman/Murray game.

BBC2 are currently showing a replay of the French Open men's final, which will continue even when BBC1 begins coverage at 1.40pm, according to Sue. They are only just starting the third set, and that match went all the way - so it could run right through until 3.25pm.

I would've bet on BBC2 showing a few fillers until the rain stops, but evidently not.

Yes, Centre Court is very weird. I haven't heard it mentioned, but is the BBC commentary box still in the little booth beside the scoreboard?

Amazing the way that as soon as Murray pulled out, its 'COME ON TIM!!'

EDIT: oh and btw - they've recycled the current Wimbledon titles for a FOURTH year running!

Yeah - and didn't they used to use a different theme too for a couple of years at least, just using that one for Today at Wimbledon?

From BBC Sport Online:

1432: It may be two and a half hours late but finally, we're off! Players are out and knocking up on all 18 courts, with Roger Federer the star attraction on Centre Court against Teimuraz Gabashvili, while Andy Roddick is out on Court One and Martina Hingis the dreaded Court Two.

1420: The net is up, the crowd are taking their seats and we're set to see play at 1430 BST.
